    Rebelette Spring Clinic Participants will learn routines similar to the ones taught at tryouts

Basketball Practice Facility

Registration Fee - $50

8:30 a.m.- Registration

9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. – Clinic

*Must bring a Copy of your insurance card*

We Love Basketball!

As the SEC Basketball Tournament is approaching in the near future, we are coming up with all new halftimes for our fans.  We loved being able to perform this UDA Camp Routine at our White Out Kentucky game a few weeks ago.  Let us know your thoughts on other fun halftime dances you would like to see us perform!

We hoped you like it and can make it out for the rest of our Men's and Women's Ole Miss Basketball Games!!

Ole Miss Rebelette Tryouts 2013-2014 Season

After a very grueling basketball season, and still more to come... we are very excited to announce our tryout dates and times for the 2013-2014 season.  

Tryouts will be held:

Date - April 13, 2013

Time - 8:00 am

Location - Please check back at a later date  for more details

Get to Know: Mackenzie

MacKenzie Ortlepp

Year on Team: First Year on the Team, Sophomore

Age: 19

Major: B.A in Biochemistry

Hometown: Meridian, Mississippi

My favorite Rebelette season is Rebel football season! After a season of ups and downs, it has definitely been an adventure cheering on the Rebels, but I couldn’t imagine cheering for any other team! Most importantly, we CRUSHED Mississippi State, which is a huge deal if you are from Mississippi. Mississippi is a divided state for sure, and the Egg Bowl is a huge “hometown” match up for us Mississippians. We have regained what is rightfully ours, and the EGG is back where it belongs! Words can’t even begin to describe the excitement of that experience! From the new release of the “Feed Moncrief” song to the entire student section storming the field, that night never gets old! This is OUR state! Hotty Toddy!

An interesting fact about me is that I have seen both sides of the spirit squad organization here at Ole Miss! My freshman year I was a cheerleader and this year, my sophomore year, I am a rebelette! For any of you debating whether you want to continue your talents in cheer or dance, I say go for it! A spirit squad at Ole Miss is for you! Not only do you get to experience the every day life of an Ole Miss student, but you are able to experience athletic events and appearances as an “insider,” and you will reap all of the benefits too!

Get to Know: Jensen

Jensen Ankerson

Year on Team: Junior

Age: 20

Major: Pharmacy

Hometown: Fairhope, Alabama

My favorite Rebelette season is nationals. I have been competing on a dance team since I was six years old and love to be in the competition setting. Nationals is a time when we truly become a team because of our dedication to our goal of being the best we can be. I am so thankful for the bonds formed during our preparation for nationals because that time is what makes us strong and ready to compete against the best college dance teams in the country. There are no words to describe the feelings we share when we run out of the castle onto the stage to perform.

I love Glee, running, reading, and movies. One of my favorite things to do when I spend time at home is cook for my family and friends. Since I am from the coast of Alabama, I did not grow up an Ole Miss fan, but am so glad I am now part of the Rebel family. I get chills every time I step into the stadium to pump up the crowd during pre game and cheer on our Rebels. I am so glad I can be a part of such an amazing team!

As family is leaving and the presents are unwrapped we wanted to make sure everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
